- You can access the admissions application for the CopyrightX 2026 course using the following link: https://hlscopyrightx.com/survey_instances/init/640e7d53
- Once you reach the landing page, please create an account on the CopyrightX platform by clicking on “Register.” A verification email will be sent to the email address that you specify in the registration form. After clicking on the link set forth in the verification email, you will be redirected to the log-in page.
- After logging into your new CopyrightX account, you will be able to access the admissions application on the “Applications” tab. Please read the application instructions thoroughly before you start your application.
- The admissions application for the CopyrightX 2026 course comprises 29 questions. The admissions application requires you to write an application essay, take a short English proficiency test, and provide some information about yourself. The application comprises 29 questions. The estimated time necessary to complete the application is 60 minutes. Please note that you do not have to fill out all the questions during the same session. You can save your answer to a particular question for later use by clicking on the “Submit Answer” button.
- After you submit your application, you should receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email within a reasonable period of time following the submission of your application, please contact us at copyrightcourse at law dot harvard dot edu.
- Applying for admission is free of charge. If you are accepted to the course, you will be asked to pay a registration fee of USD 25.00, prior to joining an online discussion section. The fee can be paid by credit card, PayPal, wire transfer or purchase order. Nationals of countries included on the UN List of Least-Developed Countries are eligible for a registration fee waiver. Instructions on how to apply for a registration fee waiver will be provided upon your acceptance to the course.
- The deadline for filing an admissions application for the CopyrightX 2026 course is 18:00 (6:00 PM) UTC on 31 December 2025. After this deadline, no admissions applications will be accepted. You will hear from the CopyrightX Team with an admissions decision by 18:00 (6:00 PM) UTC on 10 January 2026.
- The CopyrightX 2026 online sections will first meet during the week of 26 January 2026 and will conclude on or before 24 April 2026. Sections will not meet during the week of 16 March 2026 (Spring recess). The final exam for the course will be administered for a 96-hour period in early May. The HLS registrar will determine the exact date in the coming months.
